We recently completed a gorgeous extension to our home, adding an expansive guest studio above the existing garage. We wanted the studio to move the look forward whilst preserving some classic architectural features of the existing design. The brief was – contemporary without being stark, less glass more timber, open and fresh, high vaulted ceilings, all taking in the light and the view and feeling like a pool house as well as a guest studio.

The final design included a fold-away king bed to make the space multi-purpose, allowing it to be used as an art studio or entertaining space. Wide balconies on three sides add a luxe feel for guests and allow four sets of bi-folding doors to open outwards and create wonderful flow.

Working with Adam Hobbs was a pleasure, he and his team were efficient and effectively navigated us through the design, approvals, and construction phases. The project and construction was seamless and proceeded smoothly, and the project was finished on time and more or less on budget.
